SNU International Admissions ApplicationSNU welcomes all outstanding international students and transfer students. Currently there are 2,300 international students at SNU and many of them are transfer students. As an international student, you can transfer into either the 2nd year or 3rd year of our school curriculum. Course credits previously earned at other institutions may be transferred to SNU.

Questions
When can I apply?
SNU¡¯s academic year begins in the spring. The university offers admissions for the fall semester as well as the spring. Undergraduate applicants should note, however, that only transfer admission is available in the fall.
Please note the following important dates:
Online Application
1) Foreign applicants
Deadline l Mon 2/18/08 ~ Thu 7/31/08
2) Korean students who have received their entire education abroad.
Deadline l Mon 7/14/08 ~ Thu 7/31/08
* Create an account at the SNU website.(http://admission.snu.ac.kr)
* Entrance to the program is in March 2009
Submission of Documents
Deadline l Fri 8/1/08
The required documents should arrive at the SNU Office of Admissions by this date. Applicants must have already submitted the online application.

Registration for Classes

Korean Proficiency Test
Deadline l February 2009
After the admission decisions are made, the admissions office will selectively inform the students who will be required to take the Korean proficiency test.

Please Note
1. Starting in 2008, foreign applicants (except for students of Korean origin) may submit their application throughout
the year. The dates and deadlines listed above are for applications to programs starting in March 2009.
2. ¡°Foreign applicants¡± refers to students who are foreign nationals whose parents are both also foreign nationals.
3. Expected Timeline for Future International Admissions
* By Thurs 7/31/08: for Spring 2009
* Mon 8/18/08 ~ Fri 4/10/09: Fall 2009 (Undergraduate Transfer, Graduate Programs to start in Sept 2009)
* Mon 4/27/09 ~ Fri 7/31/09: Spring 2010 (Undergraduate Transfer, Graduate Programs to start in March 2010)
* Mon 8/18/08 ~ Fri 7/31/09: Spring 2010 (Undergraduate Freshman to start in March 2010)
4. Students of Korean origin who have completed their education abroad may apply in July of each year.
