[University Program] SNU's College of Business Administration was the only college of business administration to be selected for the "Campus Asia" pilot project, jointly launched by Korea's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science & Technology of Japan. As a result, an academic program in which students will be able to obtain joint MBA degrees from SNU, Peking University, and Hitotsubashi University (universities connected under the "Best Business School Alliance") is scheduled to be introduced next year. Professor CHOE Hyuk gave an interview in DongA Ilbo regarding the matter.

[Research] Professor KANG Kyung-Sun of SNU's College of Veterinary Medicine and his research team have discovered that 'SOX2' has a crucial role in the lineage determination and proliferation of mesenchymal stem cells through Dickkopf-1 and c-MYC. Professor Kang claimed that this research newly identifies the role of SOX2 in a different way from embryonic stem cells. These results are expected to help in enhancing the application and stability of mesenchymal stem cells - applied embryonic stem cell medication. Their research paper was published in Cell Death and Differentiation, an online journal under Nature Publishing Group.

[University Policy] SNU has decided to increase the proportion of students permitted entrance by early admission from 60% to 80%. This decision was made in an effort to contribute to the internal stability of public education by putting an emphasis on everyday performance in school. The new policy also reflects SNU's hopes to select students according to their potential abilities and not only standardized exam scores and numerical grades.
