<Eligibility> Please note that this application is available only for the students who are NOT currently living in Gwanak-sa.
1. Qualification: Students from outside of Seoul and foreign students as below: A. Undergraduate/Graduate students including returning students B. Students who will attend SNU Gwanak campus in 2010 Fall Semester * Graduate (research) student: Students who have completed Master¡¯s or Doctoral coursework but did not submit their graduation thesis, and work full time (at least 5 days a week) with no other occupations. * For research students, they must register for Fall Semester of 2010 and must submit ¡®Certification of full time graduate student¡¯ to the Gwanak-sa office during designated period.
2. Restrictions: Students who apply to anyone of the followings are restricted A. Foreign Undergraduate/ Graduate Students who have GPA lower than 2.0 (Do not apply for freshmen or those who are incapable of validating their grades) * GPA for the 2010 Spring Semester is not included * Graduate students who have only registered for the thesis course which do not have a tangible GPA are also excluded B. Students who will not attend SNU Gwanak campus in 2010 C. Students with contagious and/or infectious diseases D. Students who have a record of disciplinary action or eviction * Student with 6 demerits or more from their dormitory supervisor E. Students who reside in suburban districts of Seoul: One of their family members, (father or mother), lives in Seoul or nearby suburban areas * Suburban areas are defined as: Bucheon, Gwangmyeong, Anyang, Siheung, Gwacheon, Gunpo, Uiwang, or Seongnam * For graduate students, those living in the suburban districts of Seoul may also apply but priorities will be first given to the local students F. Other reasons restricted by dormitory supervisor or committee

2. How to Apply: Apply through the Internet (1) Gwanak-sa Homepage: http://dorm.snu.ac.kr > Click on ¡®¿Â¶óÀÎ ÀÔ»ç½Åû(online dormitory application)¡¯ (2) SNU Homepage: http://my.snu.ac.kr > Click on 'ÇлçÇàÁ¤' > Click on '±â¼÷»ç(dormitory)¡¯ * You must apply as registering for the Fall semester of 2010. Graduate students cannot apply with their undergraduate student number. * Undergraduate Students can only apply for the double room.
3. Admission and Waiting List Confirmation ¢º Undergraduates: Monday, June 28th, 2010. 11:00 AM * If you are not selected, you may request for your name to be on the waiting list (Monday, July 12th ~ Friday, July 16th, 2010). ¢º Graduates: Monday, May 17th, 2010. 11:00 AM * Announcement of accepted residents and waiting list will be posted online at the Gwanak-sa homepage (You can check by clicking on ¡®¿Â¶óÀÎ ÀÔ»ç½Åû(online dormitory application)¡¯
4. Roommate, Women-only Dorm Application ¢º Undergraduates: Monday, June 28th, 10:00 AM ~ Friday, July 2nd, 18:00 PM. ¢º Graduates: Monday, May 17th, 10:00 AM ~ Thursday, May 20th, 18:00 PM * Those who are selected to be residents can choose their roommate during the period stated above via the Gwanak-sa homepage ¤ý Both two students should apply each other for their roommate. ¤ý If you do not apply for a roommate, your roommate will be randomly selected. ¤ý You cannot request for one of the currently Gwanaksa residents to be your roommate. ¤ý Please keep in mind that when the application for the women-only dorm exceeds the capacity, students will be allocated at normal dorms.
6. Documents Submission and Payment (You must complete the submission and payment in order to confirm your residence in the dorm) ¢º Registration Period ¤ý Undergraduates: Monday, July 5th (11:00 ~ 17:00) ~ Friday, July 9th, 10:00 ~ 17:00. ¤ý Graduates: Monday, May 24th (11:00 ~ 17:00) ~ Friday, May 28th. 10:00 ~ 17:00. * Please strictly adhere to the time of the submission. ¢º Payment (subject to change, later announcements will be made) ¤ý Single room (irrelevant for undergraduates): 293,000 per month ¤ý Double room: 208,000 per month
7. Move-in Date: Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 (subject to change).
8. Notes ¤ý For new graduate dorms, temporary leaving (e.g. only during the vacation) is not allowed. ¤ý If you apply with any false information, your application will be canceled immediately and you will be forced to move out. ¤ý It is possible for a graduate and an undergraduate being roommates. ¤ý When there is any change in your status during living in Gwank-sa (such as leave of absence, graduation, etc.), you must leave the dormitory immediately. Only when your status has been changed to a research student, your stay will be allowed after confirmation of the documents proving your status. ¤ý Obligations and rules for living in the dormitory are specified in the Gwanak-sa website.
