    Question May I apply to multiple programs or departments at SNU?
    Answer You may not apply to more than one program per admissions season.
    Question Can I make alterations or additions to an application that has been submitted?
    Answer Once your application has been submitted, you are not able to make any changes.
    Question How do I get an application form?
    Answer You may download application forms from this website.

    Application forms are also available in the "Admission Guide for International Students" booklet, which can be obtained at the Office of Admissions.
    Question How does SNU decide whom to admit?
    Answer Admission decisions are based on a number of factors, including academic achievement such as grade point average(GPA), study plan, personal statements, letters of recommendation, as well as other achievement records and/or descriptions of specific qualifications.
    In reviewing applications, the admissions committee considers the level of studies completed, the quality of achievement, characteristics of institution attended, appropriateness of goals and suitability of preparation for the proposed program of studies.
    Proficiency in Korean and other languages is also taken into consideration. Depending on the policy of the college or department to which the applicant is applying, interviews and examinations may also be required.
    Applicants will be notified of interviews when deemed necessary.
    Question What does an "applicant of Korean origin" mean?
    Answer An "applicant of Korean origin" is one who has received his/her entire elementary, junior high and high school (and undergraduate if applicable) education outside of Korea AND meets ONE of the following criteria:

    1) He or she is a Korean citizen
    2) He or she acquired foreign citizenship after entering elementary school
    3) One of his or her parents is a Korean citizen
    Question What does an "applicant of Korean origin" mean?

    Question How do I apply for housing?
    Answer Applications should be submitted to the relevant dormitory office during the student selection period with a letter of recommendation from your faculty advisor.
    Freshmen should apply online at the Kwanak-sa homepage (http://dorm.snu.ac.kr).
    For more detailed information, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of International Affairs (http://oia.snu.ac.kr).

    Answer Scores should be reported to Seoul National University, code 7972.

    Question Do you accept photocopies of TOEFL, GRE, TEPS, or GMAT scores that are more than two years old?
    Answer We do not accept scores that are over two years old, and we do not accept photocopies of score reports.
    Question How do I request an application fee waiver?
    Answer Requests to have the application fee waived are not accepted.
    Question How do I pay the application fee?
    Answer The application fee is 72,000 Korean won or US$60.
    The fee must be paid in Korean won or US dollars to the Office of Admissions, Seoul National University. It must be enclosed with your application or it will not be processed.
    If sending your application by mail, you MUST use an international money order or a bank draft payable to the Office of Admissions, Seoul National University.

    *N.B: Payment may be made in cash ONLY IF you submit the application in person.

    Question How do I know which level of the program is suitable for me?
    Answer I don't even know the Korean Alphabet: You are in the Beginner Level. But don't worry! You will discover new things! You will also learn about yourself and make new friends!

    I can't follow you. What are you talking about?: Join K3 Class! Then you will have a great time with your Korean friends! Of course, in Korean!

    Are you familiar with specific terms in Korean?: In K4 and K5 class, you will learn high-level vocabulary of abstract concepts and also, understand Korean culture through field trips!

    I really want to know current events in Korea!: Sure you do! In K6 class, you can read Korean newspapers and discuss current issues.

    Do you know how to write a Study Plan & Personal Statement?: Then, join the Advanced Level! You will learn how to write formal essays and research papers.
