Assistant Professor is the lowest position in tenure-track professors.
The track goes Professor - Associate Professor - Assistant Professor.
SNU had Full-time Lecturer position below the Assistant Professor, but doesnt have it now.
SNU faculty salary varies according to how long he/she worked, but average annual salary per position is like this 94 million KRW for Professor, 78 million KRW for Associate Professor, 71 million KRW for Assistant Professor.
This is before tax, and the tax rate is about 15.
SNUs faculty salary is a little higher than the average salary of all Korean universities, but lower than other renowned private universities like Yonsei or Postech.
It is expected that SNU faculty salary shall be raised at least 30 after the incorporation in 2012.
