KRF is in charge of managing
large sums of the government’s research funds. It provides
research grants to universities and faculty members.
It also conducts surveys and writes evaluations on universities’
research. Faculty members and researchers can apply to various research support programs on the website.
KOSEF is conducting the government’s
key programs for science and engineering research: Basic Science
Programs, National R&D Programs, Nuclear R&D Programs,
International Cooperation Programs, and Research Promotion Programs.
It manages more than a billion USD a year. Faculty members and
researchers whose work is related to the science or engineering fields
can apply for funding for their new projects on the website.
