2023 Summer Ambient AI BootCamp & Competition

We would like to provide you with information about the 2023 Summer Ambient AI BootCamp & Competition organized by the Seoul National University Graduate School of Data Science.

Ambient Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new AI trend that has emerged thanks to advancements in AI semiconductor technology. It has the potential to enhance human-environment interactions by enabling low-cost IoT devices in the user's surroundings to perform AI computations collaboratively. Ambient AI has the potential to bring innovation to various fields such as healthcare, smart campuses, manufacturing, and fashion.

The Graduate School of Data Science, in collaboration with Google Coral AI team, is pioneering the development of new curriculum and research projects in the field of ambient AI.

This summer, in collaboration with Google, the Graduate School of Data Science is organizing the "Ambient AI Bootcamp & Competition" to share the potential of ambient AI with Seoul National University members from various fields.

We kindly request the support and participation of those interested in ambient AI.

Bootcamp Lectures and Labs:

  • Course Duration: July 12th, 2023, to August 2nd, 2023 (Flipped Learning approach, total of 30 hours)
  • Target Audience: Seoul National University undergraduate and graduate students (including students on leave of absence)
  • How to Apply: Search for "Ambient AI Bootcamp" on the eTL[SNUON] website and apply for the course. https://etl.snu.ac.kr/snuon
  • Application Period: From July 7th, 2023 (Friday) 10:00 AM to July 11th, 2023 (Tuesday) 4:00 PM, on a first-come, first-served basis (limited to 80 participants).

Competition:

  • Project Implementation Period: August 1st, 2023, to September 3rd, 2023.
  • Prizes: 1st Prize: KRW 2,000,000 / Best Project Award: KRW 1,000,000 / Excellent Project Award: KRW 500,000
