2010 Fall Semester Tuition Fee Payment

▶ The tuition payment schedule for 2010 Fall Semester is as follows.

   * Applicable For:
      Undergraduate and graduate students, current students, re-registering students, and freshmen.
   * Payment Period (including internet banking):
      Monday, August 23rd ~ Friday, August 27th, 2010. 09:00 ~ 17:00.
      (The tuitions bills can be printed starting Monday, August 16th, 09:00)
   * Payment Location:
      Payments can be made at all local banks. However, students making payments at banks other than
      Nonghyup, Shinhan, or Woori Bank will be subject to service charges.

▶ Application for Tuition in Installments (3 times)

   * Applicable For:
      Registered students with economic difficulties who wish to pay their tuition in installments (students 
      who currently receive full scholarship are exempt)
   * Application Period:
      Monday, August 23rd ~ Thursday, August 26th, 2010. 09:00 ~ 17:00.
   * Method:
      Apply at the ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Print Notification) Screen 
   * Printout period for tuition bills in installments:
      From the day after Tuition in Installments application is submitted
   * Installment Amount:
      1/3 of total tuition
   * Payment Period:
      ㆍ1st round: Tuesday, August 24th ~ Friday, August 27th
      ㆍ2nd round: Monday, October 11th ~ Wednesday, October 13th
      ㆍ3rd round: Friday, November 12th ~ Tuesday, November 16th
    * Students must complete the required three installments for registration.

▶ Methods for printing out tuition bills
   1. Log on to the SNU Portal (http://my.snu.ac.kr)→ click on ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Print Tuition Bills) located 
      on the bottom left of the screen
   2. Log on to the SNU Portal (http://my.snu.ac.kr) → click on ‘학사행정’ (Student Administration) at the top 
      of the screen→ click on ‘등록/장학’ (Register/Scholarship) on the menu on left side of the screen→ click 
      on ‘등록’ (Register)→ click on ‘고지서출력’ (Print Notification)→ click on ‘출력’ (print)
   3. Go to the SNU website (http://www.snu.ac.kr)→ scroll down to ‘등록금고지서출력’ (Go to Print Tuition 
      Bills) below ‘Quick Link’, on the upper right of the screen.

      * If there is no tuition bill relevant to the student available, the student must go to a nearby Nonghyup,
        Shinhan, or Woori Bank and present their name and student identification number to pay their tuition.
      * If the tuition bill is not printable for whatever reason in neither the SNU Portal nor the SNU website, 
        check that the Active X control and plug in has been installed (this can be checked in Internet Options
        → Security Options tab).

▶ Tuition Calculation Method
   Please note that the following method only applies to students whose registrations exceed the standard 
   8 semesters.

▶ Courses Fee
   1. For Undergraduate Courses
      ㆍ 1~3 credits: 1/6 of courses fee
      ㆍ 4~6 credits: 1/3 of courses fee
      ㆍ 7~9 credits: 1/2 of courses fee
      ㆍ More than 10 credits: Full payment
   2. For Graduate Courses
      ㆍ 1~3 credits: 1/2 of courses fee
      ㆍ More than 4 credits: Full payment

▶ School Supporting Association Fee
   Total amount = Standard school supporting association fee + calculated fee according to registered 
   credits 
   ㆍStandard school supporting association fee: Total amount * 47%
   ㆍCalculated fee according to credits: Total amount * 53% * (registered credits/ standard credits) 
   ㆍCalculation Guidelines
      Undergraduate Courses Graduate and Postgraduate Courses
         1~3 credits → 3 credits 1~3 credits → 3 credits
         4~6 credits → 6 credits 4~5 credits → 5 credits
         7~9 credits → 9 credits 
         10~11 credits → 11 credits 
   ㆍStandard credits: 12 credits Standard credits: 6 credits

▶ Notes
   ㆍIf registered for credits exceeding standard credits, students must pay the full amount of school’s 
      supporting association fee.
   ㆍPayment amounts will be rounded to the nearest 1000 won.
