◆ Applicant Qualifications
Prospective applicant must meet the following eligibility qualifications:
(1) Applicant and his/her parents must all be citizens of the country in which the Korean Government
scholarship is offered. (Refer to"Appendix 2")
※ Korean citizens are not eligible to apply.
(2) Must be under 25 years of age as of March 1, 2011.
(3) In good health, both physically and mentally for the extensive study abroad period in Korea.
※ Those that are pregnant or have severe illnesses cannot apply.
(4) Have completed or are scheduled to complete elementary, middle and high school education
by March 1, 2011.
※ Exceptions may apply to those scheduled to complete high school AND obtain TOPIK level 3
by September 1, 2011
(5) Possess a total GPA (grade point average) of at least 80% from the applicable high school OR have
an official rank in the top 10% amongst his/her graduating class.
(6) Cannot be a former recipient of the Korean Government Scholarship for his/her undergraduate studies.
(7) Have not taken undergraduate courses in Korea prior to applying for KGSP.
(8) Applicants proficient in Korean or English will be given preferential status during the selection process.
