■ Department in Charge: Department of Chinese Language and Literature

■ Period: Monday, August 8th ~ Saturday, August 20th, 2011.

■ Location: College of Humanities and cultural sites

■ Availability: 36 undergraduate students attending SNU

There will be an interview and a test to assign each student to either one of three classes (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced). Each class will consist of 12 students.

■ Fee: Each student must pay 100,000 won for the participation fee. The fee cannot be refunded once assigned to a particular class.

■ Course Description

The program lasts for 10 days and regular courses will be conducted for 6 hours each day. Participants will also visit cultural sites with native speakers for 2 days, give presentations on the topic of the culture trip, and produce a play.

Beginner: 2 hours of speaking, 2 hours of listening, 2 hours of reading
Intermediate: 2 hours of speaking, 2 hours of listening, 2 hours of reading
Advanced: 2 hours of speaking, 2 hours of listening, 2 hours of writing

■ Registration Period: Wednesday, June 1st ~ Thursday, June 9th, 2011. 4 p.m.

■ Interview: June 13th, 2011.
