[University Policy] SNU will be holding the 2012 Freshmen Orientations for approximately 3,300 first-year students expecting to enter SNU this coming March. The theme of the orientations is 'Sympathy, impression, and hope,' and programs such as lectures from professors, an introduction session to university life, performances from the Faculty Choir and various performing clubs, and declaration of becoming an SNU student have been prepared. This is the first time that the university is offering these orientations in a camp-like form, in which they will be held over a course of 4 rounds, 2 nights each with different participants for every round.

[University Policy] SNU Law School and Harvard Law School have signed an agreement for the interchange of students and professors. This agreement is expected to allow students from SNU Law School to study at Harvard Law School with no additional expenses, beginning this coming fall semester.

[Events] An exhibition of Korean contemporary and modern art pieces included in elementary and middle school art textbooks is on display at the SNU Museum of Art (MOA). Thirty-three paintings, as well as 51 sculptures, prints, pictures and installations are being displayed to help young students appreciate and understand Korean art. The volunteer docents who are in charge of the commentary for this exhibition are also students, from the fifth to eighth grades, to bring the exhibition down to the young audience’s
level. The exhibition will continue until February 3.
