[News Report] SNU's QoLT Support Center for Industrial Technology was featured in Hankook Economic Daily. The article mainly focused on the general aim of the center and actual social support the center provides for the handicapped, including training handicapped people to become IT engineers. The Center also works to build an information infrastructure for use by the handicapped, while having handicapped people participate in the whole process, and continuously advertising and spreading its success.

[Events] SNU is opening a general hospital which will specialize in dealing with national-scale crises in the city of Osan. SNU Hospital and SNU Bundang Hospital signed an MOU with the city of Osan to cooperate in the process of establishing the new hospital on January 30. The new hospital will consist of a trauma center for specialized treatment of patients suffering from post-traumatic stress and a national crises hospital.

[News Report] Plans and visions of Professor OH Se Jung (SNU's Department of Physics and Astronomy) as the dean of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) were introduced in Seoul Shinmun. IBS will first be selecting the leaders of its research teams in May, and then will decide on specific fields of research. Professor Oh said that IBS is planning to build a select group of researchers through strict evaluation of their research competence.
