May 24, 2018 Remembering Professor Kim Moon Hwan Remembering Professor Kim Moon Hwan On May 21, Professor Kim Moon Hwan of the SNU Department of Aesthetics passed away at the age of 73. Having majored in Aesthetics at SNU for his undergraduate degree, Kim went on to pursue his Masters in Aesthetics in Frankfurt, Germany. The department limited applicants to women for its recent faculty position opening in order to redress gender imbalance within the faculty. Currently, all 35 professors in the department are men.
